The Event

The 2024 The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival is the crown jewel of equine sports kicking off with Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo & Showjumping, Sunday 7 January, 2024.

Witness some of the country’s best Junior and Senior Showjumpers in action, along with the new class for 2024, the Queensland Off-The-Track Cup, open to all off-the-track thoroughbreds and their riders who are broadly involved in the thoroughbred industry.  Also watch some fast-paced action packed and entertaining Polo while you enjoy a stylish day out in the Pacific Fair Pavilion, offering premium all-day hospitality. Put your best fashion foot forward in Pacific Fair Fashions on the Field for your chance to win some great prizes. Held on Queensland’s stunning Gold Coast, the day includes:

  • Two thrilling games of polo played by professional polo players including Nacho Figueras, Delfina Blaquier, Zara Tindall & Billy Slater
  • Three Showjumping competitions featuring Australia’s best Junior Riders and a Senior Teams Event with Olympic competitors competing for a $1.45 million prize pool, and the finalists in the Queensland Off-The-Track Cup competing for the $50,000 prize pool

Getting there

Shuttle Bus – There will be free shuttle buses for patrons looping from The Star Gold Coast and the Surfers Paradise Transit/Bus Centre to Doug Jennings Park on Sunday from 8.30am until 6pm.

Public Parking – Limited free parking is available, adjacent to Doug Jennings Park in The Spit carpark on Seaworld Drive. We strongly suggest utilising the shuttle bus or carpooling as parking is limited. There is no public parking available within the confines of Doug Jennings Park.

Ferry – A dedicated ferry service is running between Broadwater Parklands and Doug Jennings Park to assist with the movement of patrons on the day. The ferry service loops from 8.30am through until the last service at 6pm. Services depart from Broadwater Parklands, Southport Pier, Pontoon 6. Drop-Off & Pick-Up – There will be a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone for all vehicles including Taxi’s, Rideshares and private vehicles. Please follow the signs.

Accessibility Parking – Free parking is available for guests with an accessibility pass within the confines of Doug Jennings Park. This pass must be shown on entry and displayed for the duration of the event.
