Getting there
Due to Sea World Dirve becoming very congested with holiday and event traffic, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the complimentary shuttle buses and various public transport options for your travel to Doug Jennings Park to avoic disappointment or inconvenience.
Shuttle Buses – There is a free shuttle bus service running from The Star Gold Coast, with a pickup and drop-off point at Surfers Paradise Transit/Bus Centre to the event grounds at Doug Jennings Park. The service provides return trips for patrons from 7.30am through until the last service departs Doug Jennings Park at 6.00pm.
Ferry – A dedicated ferry service is running between Broadwater Parklands and Doug Jennings Park to assist with the movement of patrons on the day. The ferry service loops from 8.30am through until the last service at 6.00pm. The service departs from Broadwater Parklands, Southport Pier, Pontoon 6. For additional information or to purchase return tickets click here (link through to Ticketek website). The Ferry is also wheelchair accessible.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up – There will be a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone for all vehicles including Taxi’s, Ride-shares and private vehicles. Please follow the signs.
Public Parking – Limited free parking is available, adjacent to Doug Jennings Park in The Spit car park on Sea World Drive. We strongly suggest utilising the shuttle bus service or carpooling as parking is extremely limited. This is no public parking available within the confines of Doug Jennings Park.
Accessibility Parking – Free parking is available for guests with an accessibility pass within the confines of Doug Jennings Park. This pass must be shown upon entry and displayed for the duration of the event.
